Join me for some Camp Erehwon FUN!

After a long silence I have some fun news! I will be attending the Author & Reader Soiree on September 21, 7:00 to 10:00 pm at HOOKED bookstore at 3142 East Michigan Avenue in Lansing, Michigan! Check out the Hooked website for all the details and come out and say "hi!" I am looking forward to this wonderful event, right here in my hometown. I hope to see you there!

I have also recently set up an interview time for a future podcast on C's Creative Corner, Digital Reverence! I cannot begin to tell you all how exciting this opportunity is for me. I have never done a podcast, and I am really looking forward to it! More details to come!

Autumn is in the air now. The cool mornings out at the greenhouse reminding me that now that the planting and nurturing is coming to an end, the harvest is at hand. Canning, freezing, dehydrating, and preserving are the order of the day for us all right now. Soon the salmon will start running and I have precious little time to get all my gear checked over and ready for the long nights ahead. Firewood needs to be split, and cleaning and repairs are ongoing, not just at the greenhouse but at home as well. Autumn is one of my favorite times of year. It is a time of change, of expectation, and of thoughtful reflection. It is also my favorite time, once the long workdays are done, to "pick up my pen" once more and return to Erehwon. It is always a joy for me to drop by the camp and hang out with the colorful persons who visit that place. I never quite know what will happen when I get there, but I know it will be worth my time. My hope is that I can continue to capture everything that happens during my visits and share it with you, the reader, in a way that gives the people and places justice.
